Steven Lee

–

Kansas City, Kansas

Steven Lee lived 61 full and purposeful years, proudly born in Kansas City, Kansas, on July 26th, 1964, to Freddie and Ruthie Lee.
From an early age, Steven's spirit was impossible to contain. He came to know the Lord young, and that fire never left him.
He found his first love in sports. As a boy, he laced up his gloves and boxed at JFK under the guidance of Mr. Green, discovering early what discipline and heart looked like in action. He carried that same drive playing baseball under Mr. Flunder and the love for the game that never faded, alongside basketball.
That same relentless energy carried him west to California, where he got his start in plumbing. Quitting was never an option. Under the mentorship of Bob Hamilton, Steven learned not only the craft but the character it demanded, with early mornings, hard work, and a standard that refused to settle. It was there he earned his defining saying, "Rise and shine," words he would carry back to Kansas City and speak over every new day for the rest of his life.
He returned home and built something lasting. Lee's Plumbing became a name synonymous with excellence across the greater Kansas City metropolitan area, and Steven wore that reputation with quiet pride. He was widely loved by the community, not because he was loud or boastful, for that was never his way, but because his confidence spoke for itself.
He was far more than the best plumber in town. He was a man who gave everything he touched his whole heart, and everyone who knew him felt it.
Preceding Steven in death are his parents, Freddie and Ruthie Lee, and his son, Daveon Lee.
Left to cherish his memories are his children, Curtis Lee Alexander, Tyquan Lee, Mariah Lee, Ebony Germany, his companion, Tina Peterson and a host of grandchildren, other family members, and friends.
